ICA Approval No Longer Required

UAE residents traveling to the UAE from a part of the world no longer need the GDRFA or ICA approval, according to UAE flag carriers. As a result, UAE residents from all over the world can now travel to the UAE without pre-traveling by registering on the ICP/ICA portal.

Residents and tourists of emirates like Abu Dhabi are still advised to register vaccinations and entry status in the ICA smart services portal.

On flights to the UAE, certain airlines, like Air Arabia, require returning passengers to verify their entry status and carry a copy of their passports and resident visas.

Furthermore, the United Arab Emirates is also taking steps toward normalcy by easing Covid-19 restrictions. By removing the PCR test requirement for fully vaccinated immigrants.

ICA Approval For Abu Dhabi

As per Etihad’s travel update page, Abu Dhabi does not require ICA approval.

All you need to do is prove that you’re fully vaccinated and have a negative PCR test result. The pcr test is issued within 14 days before you enter public places in Abu Dhabi. In order to do this, you will need to present the health app from your country of residence, or the Al Hosn app. In order to use the Al Hosn app, you must first register with the ICA Smart Travel Service. It’s not mandatory to register.

To avoid any problems during your flight to Abu Dhabi, we strongly recommend registering via the ICA Smart Travel Service.

By registering the ICA, you’ll be able to use the Al Hosn app when you land in Abu Dhabi. Before entering any public place in Abu Dhabi, you’ll need to show the Al Hosn app or the official health app from your country of residence to prove your vaccination status.

ICA Approval for Sharjah

Sharjah does not require ICP approval.

ICA Approval for Ras Al Khaimah

The pre-departure ICA registration mandate has also been removed in Ras Al Khaimah.
