Pakistan to the UAE Travel Requirements

Can I travel from Pakistan to the UAE?

Yes, you can. Travelers from Pakistan can now visit Dubai. Below are the entry requirements they will need to follow.

Travel ban on unvaccinated citizens

Only fully vaccinated travelers of age 18 and older are permitted to fly domestically and internationally to/from Pakistan, as announced by Pakistan’s National Command and Operation Center. Pakistanis can only travel to the UAE at the moment if they are fully vaccinated.

Testing requirements

Dubai

According to Pakistan to UAE flights news today the UAE no longer requires PCR testing for fully vaccinated arrivals from Pakistan to Dubai.

Passengers traveling to Dubai from Pakistan must fulfill any one of the requirements given below:

  • They need to present a valid vaccination certificate(s) reflecting that the passenger is fully vaccinated. And vaccine must be approved by the WHO or the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and includes a QR code
  • The Unvaccinated arrivals must have a valid negative COVID‑19 PCR test certificate that is issued by an approved health service provider with a QR code within 48 hours from the time of sample collection.
  • They need to present a valid medical certificate with a QR code issued by the relevant authorities that the passenger has recovered from COVID‑19 within one month from the date of recovery to the date of arrival.

Please note that:

  • The digital or Printed PCR test certificates or vaccination certificates are accepted in English or Arabic and must include a QR code. Keep in Mind that SMS certificates are not accepted.
  • As long as the vaccination certificate is issued by a tested laboratory, COVID19 vaccination certificates without QR codes will be accepted for travel to Dubai .
  • A COVID19 PCR test or vaccination certificate in another language is acceptable if it can be validated at the departure location.
  • Tests based on PCR must be based on molecular diagnostics intended to detect SARSCOV2 viral genome nucleic acid qualitatively. Rapid antigen, antibody, or any form of rapid lateral flow tests and home test kits will not be accepted.

Abu Dhabi

Travelers from Pakistan who have been fully vaccinated are no longer required to undergo a test before flying to Abu Dhabi.

However, if passengers are not fully vaccinated, they must present

  • A negative PCR test result has taken within 48 hours, or
  • A COVID-19 recovery certificate. The recovery certificate must be dated within 30 days of departure and have a QR code. Children under 16 are exempt.

Quarantine Requirements

If you test positive for COVID-19 during your stay in the UAE, you must isolate yourself for 10 days. The residents of Abu Dhabi are required to take two Covid-19 PCR tests separated by a gap of 24 hours to end their quarantine period.
